San Francisco Sakura Festival

Not to be outdone, San Francisco has an exciting celebration of the Spring Festival in their own Japantown. The festival is also known as Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival, the color and beauty of Japanese culture and the diversity of Japanese Americans, known to celebrate. The Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual festival in 1912 gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Tokyo to the people of American citizens.

The festivities are a colorful affair, with performances of taiko (Japanese drum) drummers, Japanese classical and folk dancers, martial artists and others. Artists would in colorful traditional Japanese costume with gold embroidery, and are dressed in floral prints and striking head gear.
